Football Canada is proud to once again host the 5th IFAF Flag Football World Championships (FFWC).
This year the tournament will be held in Ottawa, August 11 - 15. The International Federation of American Football’s (IFAF) Flag Football World Championship has been held since 2002. It is the showpiece biannual tournament for senior national teams competing in 5-on-5 flag football in two divisions, Men’s & Women’s.
2nd Annual Batting Against Breast Cancer Slo-Pitch Tournament
August 7 - Chinook Winds Ballpark, Airdrie
On Saturday, August 7, 2010, join the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Marlborough Mall and Westbrook Mall at the 2nd Annual Batting Against Breast Cancer Slo-Pitch Tournament at Chinook Winds Ballpark in Airdrie.
To participate, simply get a team of 10-15 of your closest friends or co-workers together (teams must comprise of three women on the field at all times) and contact the CBFC for a registration package.

The Learning Disabilities Association of Alberta’s Provincial Conference is this October, and opening the conference on October 6th are actors and long-time friends, Danny Glover and Felix Justice - In Conversation.
For their first time performing in Calgary, Danny and Felix will have a conversation that will entertain and inspire children and adults with learning disabilities to “Colour outside the Lines.”

On Saturday, October 23 from 5 pm - 10 pm, experience this unique gala fundraiser that celebrates the dad & daughter relationship like never before. Dad and his daughters will be receive a V.I.P. welcome as they stroll, Hollywood-style, into a starlit ballroom amid adoring paparazzi. There will be entertainment, a gourmet meal, a silent auction, raffles, a dad-&-daughter photo shoot and a dad-&-daughter dance.
